A modern American bistro with a 900 degree wood-fired kitchen, a craft cocktail bar, and 24 wines by the glass. Dinner Tuesday to Sunday, brunch every Sunday.
Everything that leaves our kitchen has met the fire. The oven burns Ohio oak and cherry all day, and it is the only heat source we use for our breads, roasts, vegetables, and the blistered crusts people cross town for.
Chef Marcus Bell opened Juniper & Ash in 2020 after a decade in kitchens in Chicago and Charleston, with one idea: cook honest food over real fire, and treat the neighborhood like family. The menu changes with the seasons, the produce comes from farms within 90 miles, and the whole animal gets used.
"Fire is the oldest cooking technique there is. We just try not to get in its way."
Rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, team celebrations, and full buyouts. Family-style menus from the wood fire, a dedicated server, and our events team handling the details.

Our second floor with its own bar, exposed brick, and a private entrance off Hubbard Avenue.
The dining room, bar, patio, and Loft, all yours for the night. Weddings, holiday parties, and product launches.
We booked the Hearth Room for my parents' 40th anniversary and the whole night felt effortless. The pappardelle is the best pasta in Columbus and the staff remembered every dietary note without being asked twice.
Sat at the bar on a Tuesday, ordered the ribeye and the Ash Old Fashioned, and watched them pull it off the fire. That crust. Valet on weekends makes it an easy date night too.
Sunday brunch is our ritual now. The shakshuka comes out still bubbling from the oven, the mimosas are actually fresh squeezed, and they never rush the table.
Gluten free and usually nervous about eating out. Chef came out, walked me through the menu, and made a version of the beets and the chicken I still think about. Best hospitality in the Short North.
Smart casual. Most guests come in jeans and a nice top or a button-down. We do not require jackets, but we ask that you skip athletic wear, tank tops, and flip-flops in the dining room. The bar and patio are more relaxed.
Yes. The bar and patio are first come, first served every night, and we hold a few dining room tables for walk-ins. On Friday and Saturday the dining room usually fills by 6pm, so a reservation is the safest bet for those nights.
Absolutely. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are marked on the menu, and the kitchen can adjust most dishes. Add a note to your reservation or tell your server and Chef will plan around it. Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, and shellfish, so we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment.
Valet is available at the front door Friday and Saturday from 5pm for $10. Any other time, the Hubbard Avenue garage is a two-minute walk and runs about $6 for the evening, and there is metered street parking along High Street and the side streets.
Parties up to 8 can book online or through our chat host. For 9 or more we seat you in the Hearth Room or the Loft, our private dining spaces, with a family-style menu starting at $85 per person. Call us or start a private events inquiry and our events team will confirm within one business day. A 20 percent service charge is added for parties of 8 or more.
Reserve in under a minute with Daniel, our chat host, or give us a call. Walk-ins always welcome at the bar.
